FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. General Technology and Operating Principle
What exactly is the DexCook invisible stovetop system?
Dexcook is an innovative induction cooking technology hidden beneath your kitchen countertop,
with no visible cooking elements or buttons on the surface. Your countertop serves as a
completely flat workspace when you are not cooking; during cooking, it transforms into a
high-tech stove.
How does the system work?
The system works with high-density electromagnetic induction technology. Magnetic waves pass
through the porcelain surface and reach the bottom of your cookware directly. Heat is generated
directly inside the pot, not on the stovetop surface. This minimizes energy loss and ensures
the countertop surface does not overheat.
Does it have both heating and cooling features?
Yes, thanks to "Dual System" technology, Dexcook offers not only cooking but also a cooling
function. With the integrated cooling module, you can keep your beverages or foods that
need to be served cold at the ideal temperature on the countertop.
2. Installation and Surface Compatibility
Which countertop materials are compatible?
The Dexcook system is designed to work with special porcelain ceramic or sintered stone surfaces
that are resistant to high heat and thermal shocks. Natural stones such as granite or marble
are not recommended due to their metal components or risk of cracking (unless a special
milling process is applied).
Can it be installed on my existing kitchen countertop?
Installation is possible if your existing countertop is made of a suitable porcelain or
ceramic material with a thickness of 12mm. However, for the best performance and safety,
we recommend using Dexcook-approved "nano-ceramic composite panels."
How much space is required under the countertop?
The device requires a certain air circulation space under the countertop for healthy
operation and ventilation. Generally, a drawer can be used in the module where the
device is placed, but the drawer depth must be adjusted according to the device dimensions.
3. Usage and Cooking Equipment
Can I use any type of pot or pan?
No, due to induction technology, you must use ferromagnetic (magnet-attracting) based cookware.
Cast iron, steel, or special induction-based products are suitable. Aluminum, copper, or
glass containers will not work (unless they have a special magnetic layer at the base).
How do I know if my pot is suitable?
You can perform a simple magnet test. If a magnet sticks strongly to the base of your pot,
it is compatible with Dexcook.
How will I find the cooking area?
Since it is an invisible system, Dexcook uses a smart laser marking or an audio/visual
warning system to help you find the cooking areas. When the unit is turned on, the cooking
areas become apparent, and the system automatically detects when you place a pot.
Should I use a silicone mat/protector on the surface?
To prevent the cookware from scratching the surface with harsh movements and to minimize
the heat transferred from the pot to the countertop, it is recommended to use the thin
silicone cooking mats provided or suggested with the system. These mats do not affect
cooking performance.
4. Safety and Cleaning
Will the countertop surface get hot enough to burn hands?
The system does not heat the surface directly, but "residual heat" is reflected back from
the heated pot to the countertop. This heat is much lower than traditional ceramic glass
or gas stoves and cools down much faster. Nevertheless, the surface should not be touched
with bare hands immediately after long-term cooking; you should wait until the "H" (Hot)
warning indicator turns off.
Is there a child lock?
Yes, Dexcook systems feature an automatic key lock and a child safety mode to prevent
children or pets from accidentally turning the system on.
How is it cleaned?
Cleaning is extremely easy because the surface is completely flat and smooth porcelain.
Food residues do not burn and stick to the surface. You can clean it in seconds with
a damp cloth and standard surface cleaners.
What happens if I place my phone or keys on the countertop?
Dexcook features smart object detection. If you place a phone, keys, or a non-metallic
object on the surface, the system will not recognize it as a cooking vessel and will
not start heating.
5. Technical Details and Warranty
Does it provide energy savings?
Yes, induction technology operates with over 90% efficiency. Because it generates
heat directly inside the vessel, it is up to 40% faster than gas and standard
electric stoves and consumes less energy.
How is the stove controlled?
The system is controlled via touch-sensitive "Slide Control" panels that can be integrated
into the countertop or hidden touch sensors. You can adjust the heat level precisely
by sliding your finger.
What is the warranty period?
Dexcook products are covered by a standard 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects
(varying by region). Installation by authorized service centers is a prerequisite for
warranty validity.
